oct unload

Another firing is done. I  tried some old purple glaze that I had and it turned out pretty well. I have done a small amount of travel, namely to Carrollton, to look at some more shows to enter. I am also going to do a small write up about how I make my lids for some of my pieces.

jars on shelf 2

Done a lot, posted very little. Made some tent weights for my  display, look in the behind the scenes section for more details. This week, I hope to make some more jars and get some photos of the assembly of the top of the lid since people were requesting it.

back in the studio

I have been busy in the studio, but not busy with updating  the site. I realised this and have decided to get some more pictures posted in various places, and have gotten some more photos to upload into the gallery.

another firing done

june amber unload

Unloaded a glaze firing this last week and took it to pine mountain and to Columbus.  the firing was a little different than most because i held the kiln at temperature for a while to balance out the amber glaze that I use. This week I plan to look up new places to sell my work.

work is in progress

In the middle of building a new workbench that is nice and sturdy. What I currently use is that is just barely sturdy enough to do my wedging, but with this new table I hope that the wedging process will go along much more smoothly. I also hope to build a light box so that I can easily make high quality photos of my work, but I must stick to one project at a time.

camera is back in order

Getting some pictures  up for the website. One of my goals is to get pictures of my work as they come out of the kiln for my gallery, and to get pictures of work on its various stages for my info section.

Back from a Sale

Came back from a sale from Columbus last Saturday. It went well, and I am hoping to expand to other nearby locations in Georgia as well. As for the site, I realise that I will need to get my camera fixed a bit before I get my gallery up and running. I have some pictures, but not of my recent work.

A beginning

Every artist needs a website, or so I am told. For the next few weeks this website will obviously be a work in progress.  My immediate goals for the next week or two will be to get an online gallery of my work. I also want to provide some insight to how my work is made and answer commonly asked questions that I get.
